Nonwoven made from Dutch Campine wool

Needled wool from Campine Heathsheep in the natural colour. The fleece is approximately 20 mm thick and has a pleasant light touch. It can be used as an inbetween layer, the wadding of e.g. plaids. Because of the good noise absorbing properties of wool it could also be used as a room divider etc.

The Campine Heathsheep are mainly kept in the Dutch-Belgian border region where they are used for grazing the heaths which (due to excessive nitrogen deposition) are in danger of becoming overgrown with grass. Thus, these sheep, which live more or less free in the wild for much of the year, help restore biodiversity.
This needlefelt can be called a local production. The sheep are kept in the moors behind our office, both washing the wool and further processing are done within a distance of a hundred kilometres.
