Origin of the material
The organic cotton was grown in the Aegean districts of Turkey (so called Aegean cotton). This cotton is known for its long fiber length, high spinnability, softness and beautiful colour. The cotton was processed in Turkey and transported to us by truck.
Ecology
Organic cotton is grown without the use of chemical pesticides or herbicides and without chemical fertilizers. Extra care is given to good water management, organic fertilization and crop rotation, thus keeping the soil healthy. GMO is not allowed in organic agriculture.

This fabric is GOTS certified. GOTS is the leading standard for organic textiles, and fabrics carrying the GOTS label represent the ultimate in ecological and sustainable production. It assures you that the cotton from which this fabric was made was grown organically. In addition it is your assurance that the most ecological and socially responsible methods have been used throughout the entire production process, including the bleaching of the fabric in this offwhite colour.
