Heavy woolen fabric in melange colours. The mix of hues is obtained by dyeing the washed wool in different colours before spinning it. This fabric is dark grey, but it also shows some dark green. This sturdy fabric of boiled wool shows a high light fastness (6) as well as a high abrasion resistence (50.000 in the Martindale test) which makes it an ideal choice for wall coverings (panels for sound insulation) and furnishing. It can also be used for making coats or jackets. It is woven in a plain weave from 'conventional' wool fibres from Europe, South America and Australia.
