Hemp canvas stonewashed natural

A strong and sturdy hemp canvas with a distinct character, woven in a plain weave and undyed. The colour 'natural' is a unique and natural colour created only by the natural interplay of sun, rain and earth during the retting proces of the hemp, and therefore contains no chemical residues. With a weight of 550 gr./m2, this fabric is suitable for interior design (furniture, curtains) as well as for making bags. It is woven and finished in Europe, using ecological and socially responsible methods such as biological water purification. Stonewashing the fabric gives it a softer touch and a vintage look. This canvas has a soul!

Sustainable hemp

Hemp is considered to be one of the most sustainable textiles known. The plant doesn't require irrigation during growth, has almost no natural enemies (insects) and therefore needs no treatment with pesticides. Because it grows very fast (up to four meters in just a couple of months) weeds don't stand a chance, don't hamper the growth of the hemp plant and herbicides are not necessary. Hemp is a natural product: it is 100% biodegradable, very strong and has a nice touch and feel.
